One of BSAC\u2019s very own traveled to Athens, GA to be honored in the University of Georgia\u2019s Circle of Honor on February 2, 2018.<\/p>\n
Chris Colwill is a two time Olympian who began diving right here at BSAC from a very young age. He continued his training throughout high school and into college, attending the University of Georgia where he became the 2006 NCAA Diver of the Year.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019ve worked hard to get where I am, but I appreciate all the support I\u2019ve had along the way\u201d said Colwill. All that hard work resulted in a medal at the NCAA Championships, SEC Championships, US Open, Canadian Cup, and FINA World Championships.<\/p>\n
\u201cBSAC is a second home\u201d said Chris. \u201cI love working with kids and teaching them what I learned growing up here. It brings me happiness and is a passion of mine.\u201d After 23 years of diving, it only made sense for Chris to come back and pick up coaching five years ago. \u201cI have a great time\u201d Chris said. \u201cI\u2019ve had multiple divers make it to state championships already, I enjoy seeing my impact in their lives\u201d.<\/p>\n
