A new era of diving has arrived at High 5!
Built on decades of aquatic excellence, High 5 Diving is excited to introduce a brand-new competitive diving program designed for athletes of all ages and experience levels. Whether a diver is taking their first leap off the board or chasing collegiate, national, and championship-level goals, our program provides the coaching, support, and training environment needed to help every athlete reach their full potential.
Leading this exciting new chapter is Head Coach Anjel Clemente, whose passion for athlete development, technical excellence, and the sport of diving will help shape the future of High 5 Diving.
MEET COACH ANJEL:
As Head Coach of High 5 Diving, Coach Anjel’s vision is to build a program that welcomes athletes of all backgrounds, and experience levels. His coaching philosophy emphasizes strong fundamentals, safe skill progression, confidence building, and fostering a lifelong appreciation for the sport. Through individualized instruction and a supportive team culture, divers are encouraged to develop not only their athletic abilities, but also the discipline, resilience, and self-confidence that extend beyond the pool.
Growing up in Northwest Indiana, Anjel began diving in 8th grade before finishing his career at Manchester University in North Manchester, Indiana where he graduated with 3 School Records (6-Dive Record on 1-Meter, 11-Dive Record on 1 Meter, and 6-Dive Record on 3-Meter). Anjel was a 2x NCAA Regional Championship Finalist (2018 & 2019) and finished his senior year as an Academic All-American.
Anjel was inducted into his high school’s Hall of Fame in January 2026 for his leadership and success in Soccer, Diving, and Track and Field.
Since moving to the Tampa Area, he has been the Head Coach of Academy at the Lakes (2022-2025) and Cypress Creek High School (2023-Present) where his swimmers and athletes have broken over 30 combined swimming and diving school records and have qualified multiple athletes for the FHSAA State Championships. While training numerous divers in Pasco County, he has mentored 3 Conference Champions, 2 District Champions, 1 Regional Champions, 4 State qualifiers and a State Finalist (6th Place).
In addition to his coaching experience, Anjel has dedicated his career to working with young athletes and helping them achieve their personal best. He believes that every athlete's journey is unique and strives to provide each diver with the tools and support needed to reach their goals, whether that means learning their first dive, qualifying for championship meets, or pursuing collegiate opportunities.
Under his leadership, High 5 Diving aims to become a premier training destination in the Tampa Bay area, providing exceptional coaching, athlete development, and opportunities for divers to thrive at every level of the sport.
