Don LaMont – Celebration of Life December 13th
BSAC will host a Celebration of Life for legendary swim coach Don LaMont on Thursday, December 13th at 6pm. Don was an influence at BSAC for many years, inspiring countless children and families with his encouraging words and affirming smile. He was not only an inspiration to swimmers, but also to his colleagues, family, and friends.
With more than 50 years dedicated to the sport of swimming, Don had many accomplishments throughout his career including his induction into the Los Angeles County Hall of Fame in 2008. Don served as USA Team Coach in numerous countries around the world and spent 25 years coaching the USC women’s swim team. He also produced 17 All-American swimmers and 13 Olympians, seven of whom earned gold and silver medals.
Don is a shining example of what can be done simply by giving it your all. While his accomplishments were great, his impact was even greater. On behalf of everyone at BSAC, he will surely be missed, but never forgotten.
