Fishhawk Creek Students create Igloos for the Tundra Ecosystem
By pasting marshmallows onto a paper bowl base students at Fishhawk Creek created igloos similar to ones found in the tundra ecosystem. Temperatures in the tundra ecosystem drop to as low as -30 degrees Fahrenheit and igloos are used to block out the cold, dry wind. The marshmallows are used to create a snow and ice effect then students used markers to add color and designs to their projects. The students favored the completed igloos with lots of colors and designs.
