Special Needs Education

For all the little victories in life.

High 5 specializes in educating individuals with special needs and individual learning disabilities. Our team is dedicated to understanding each student and making accommodations to support individual learning styles. We believe everyone deserves a chance to learn in a safe and positive environment.

Living Better through the Livingstone Academy.

In partnership with special needs education leaders in Hillsborough County, we’re proud to host our own Livingstone Academy Exceptional Center on-site as part of the High 5 campus. Working hand-in-hand with the professionals at TRIDENT, Livingstone Academy specializes in offering educational programming to those afflicted with various forms of autism and other conditions in grades 9-12.

The TRIDENT acronym stands for Training and Recreation for the Intellectually Disabled Enabling their Natural Talents, but it takes tangible form at High 5 in efforts to expand opportunities for active recreation, socialization, and education among autistic kids and adults. Not every student will be able live independently, but each can learn to maximize the strengths they bring to the table.

DAY PROGRAM (Monday through Friday, 8:00am – 3:00pm)

The Day Program help close the gaps in care for the youngest among us, as well as older adults who can’t always help themselves. The goal is to create safe, nurturing environments where participants can improve their life-skills and become more integrated members of society.

AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM (Monday through Friday, 3:30pm – 5:30pm)

The After-School Program is more focused towards encouraging an active lifestyle with interactive games and sports training opportunities. However, a study hall will be available for homework and projects assigned at school.
