Arts & Crafts 3D Sculptures at Lithia Springs
Today at Lithia Springs the students learned about the famous artist Alberto Giacometti, who is famous for creating 3-dimensional sculptures of the human form. His sculptures greatly resemble stick figures by reducing the human body down to just the essential elements. By using tin foil and clay the students and their friends were able to practice mimicking Giacometti’s minimalist style by designing and creating their own 3-dimensional models of themselves. The students enjoyed helping their friends creatively form the foil and clay into different shapes that resembled their own body then being able to bring their sculptures home.
